Prep Time: Less than 15 minutes
So for today’s Man Food I have a great, easy to follow recipe for you. This is my own creation but it’s one I make often. As with all of our Man Food recipes, this is something that is quick and easy to make, stacked with protein, low in calories and low in carbs.
This is a Bacon, Ham, Swiss and Ranch sandwich and it’s so good it’ll blow your mind.
Here’s what you need for this manfood creation:
- 3 strips of bacon
- 1 Piece of deli sliced swiss cheese
- A good ranch dressing
- Slice of lettuce
- Slice of tomato
- 2 pieces of wheat bread
- 3-4 oz. of deli sliced ham
Prepare your lettuce and tomato. You’ll simply need a slice of each.
Throw the bacon in a skillet and set to medium heat for 5 minutes. Turn bacon as needed.
Next, toss the ham into another corner of the skillet while the bacon is still cooking. Cook ham for 2-3 minutes.
Add a piece of swiss to the ham while it’s in the skillet and let it melt onto the ham.
Toss 2 pieces of toss in the toaster. You don’t want to over-toast you simply need a golden brown as shown in the picture.
Make sure the bacon is crispy and the swiss cheese has melted onto the ham. Pull both from the skillet and place on a paper towel to remove any dripping bacon grease then remove from the paper towel and place onto a single piece of toast. I typically place the ham first, then add the bacon.
Add the lettuce and tomato to top the sandwich off and then douse in 1 TBSP of ranch dressing.
Add the top piece of bread, cut sandwich in half.
Serves one person.
